Outside, Yvonne Wildeboer welcomes the guests with the same care, ensuring everyone feels confident and at ease before setting off on their journey.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><strong>A Living Tradition<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The traditional punters were once the workhorses of the region. Nearly all transport here took place over water, from livestock to weddings and even funeral processions. In those days, Giethoorn had some twenty boatyards. Today, only two remain, and Punterwerf Wildeboer is one of them.<\/p>\n<p>That is precisely what makes a trip in an authentic punter such a unique experience: a boat that is both elegant and sturdy, reliable and easy to handle, even for beginners.
